  • Overall grading activity increased by 10% in May compared to April and was up 42% year-over-year (YoY). Over 1.78 million cards were graded across the four companies, besting the previous high by nearly 50,000 cards. May's results represented the highest YoY percentage growth in the past 18 months.
    • PSA graded 1.36 million cards, up 13% compared to April and up 35% YoY, marking an all-time high for PSA.
    • CGC graded 184k cards, up 2% compared to April and up 88% YoY.
    • SGC graded 174k cards, up 6% compared to April and up 97% YoY, also marking an all-time high for SGC.
    • Beckett graded 59k cards, down 6% compared to April and down 10% YoY.

What's Next for PSA?

  • PSA bounced back from a modest slowdown in April with a record month in May. The company has a lot of momentum heading into the National and should continue to generate attention with its new streamlined partnership with eBay.
